Coats For Cubs Happening NOW

Photo_foxcubI'll start this off honestly. I own fur. It probably doesn't matter that it's vintage, but I'm not here to start that debate just yet.

Over the weekend, Buffalo Exchange in Somerville kicked off Coats For Cubs - a touching program that makes me reconsider my tattered wears. From now through Earth Day (April 22nd), drop off any fur apparel, including trims, accessories and shearling, to Buffalo Exchange and let them know you're donating to the program. The furs go to the Humane Society of the United States and will be used as bedding and comfort to orphaned and injured wildlife. Just the thought of a helpless animal cozying up and feeling safe better melt the inner Cruela DeVille's in a fur lover's heart. Plus it's tax deductible.

Buffalo Exchange has collected 3,885 furs since they began participating in Coats For Cubs in 2006. Click here for more information.
