This weekend marks the SoWa Art Walk (why is it a walk in spring and open studios in the fall?) and open studios throughout the South End. We suggest stopping by the shared studio space at 46 Waltham Street (#205a) of Millie & Me jewelry and our beloved web designer Jessica Sutton. We also think that you should head over to Harrison Ave for the kick-off of SoWa Open Market, SoWa Antique Market and SoWa Produce Market, which all remain open every Sunday through October (except holiday weekends). While we're excited to browse antiques and shop for fresh herbs and strawberry tomatoes, Open Market is possibly our favorite time of year.
Two years ago, we first discovered
Marie Galvin's amazing hats at Open Market. Last year, it was the fine vintage collection of
JP Dame. We look forward to seeing our friend Nicole Deponte and her
Lillian Asterfield designs along with the arrival of our buddy Punky's traveling vintage trailer,
Haberdash by Punky, later in the season. What else will be discovered this year?!
