Fashion Decision 2008: The Final Poll

It's down to the wire, literally. Wire frames vs. no frame. Sunglass vs. eyeglass. In 48 hours, one of these two people will be our next Vice President. Before you make your final decision as to who is worthy of being your choice for VP, what do you think of their eyewear?

Besides my utter disappointment that a frumpy candidate won the last poll, my further thoughts and opinions to follow after the jump...

I don't know if I can compare the two. I've always felt very "ick" about aviators on people who aren't "mature" men (there are some exceptions). Seeing that Biden fits the mature profile, he gets my thumbs up, because frankly, he'd look pretty damn ridiculous in Wayfarers. Age appropriate and at that age, it gives him authority. At least they're not BluBlockers

::Deep sigh:: Sarah Palin and those glasses... no denying, Palin is a beautiful woman, particularly for politics. The second she hit the scene as McCain's running mate, people were talking about her "style" and those damn glasses. They work great for her, kinda edgy for a WalMart shopping hockey mom from Alaska. For me, Simon Doonan put it best by saying, "Oh, she is so LensCrafters I just don't even know where to begin". He even perpetuated the rumor that Palin had Lasik surgery but wears glasses to look "more real", although this still remains just a rumor. Regardless, it has become part of her signature look. She works it well, but I'd take Tina Fey any day over her.

On a personal note, I really hope I don't have to spend the next 4 years of my life writing about every time Palin gets new frames.
